I will post notes, info, links and resources I’m using during my studying for VCAPs exam.
This section will be divided into two parts according to VCAP exams (VCAP4-DCA and VCAP4-DCD) respectively.
VCAP4-DCA part would be available as soon as I’m moving toward it and as I’m decided to take DCD exam first, DCD part would be available.

Bellow, you can find some basic information about VCAP (VMware Certified Advanced Professional) and VCDX (VMware Certified Design Expert).
VCAP4-DCA and VCAP4-DCD are two VMware New certifications which placing between VCP (VMware Certified Professional and VCDX.
Before this, there was only two certificate, first one was VCP and last one was VCDX.
In the past, before getting VCDX attendes had to pass to exams of Enterprise Design and Enterprise Administrator but there was no certificate for those exams and also they had to toke them in order as the image below showing the path to VCDX3.

After announcement of VCDX4, VMware announced two certificate and their new exams respectively.

• VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Datacenter Administration (VCAP4-DCA)
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Datacenter Design (VCAP4-DCD)

These exams can be taken separately with no sequence, it means if you are better in administration, you can take the VCAP4-DCA first, and if you are better in design you can take the other; also if some one don’t want to follow VCDX, only one or both of these exams/certifications can be taken.
